The AY-Core is the controller that brings every device in the home together on the local network. A built-in KNX IP gateway, Zigbee 3.0 radio and Matter bridge let devices on different protocols work in one scene.
Why local?
Scenes run on the device's own processor; even if the internet drops, lights, blinds and thermostats continue to follow the rules. The cloud is only for remote access and notifications.
